Coming to Light
During the summer of 1957 in Provincetown, Milton Avery (1885-1965), Adolph Gottlieb (1903-1974), and Mark Rothko (1903-1970) renewed their friendship dating back to the late 1920s. Coming to Light profiles a vital period which witnessed the emergence of radical new ideas in the works of these three leading American artists. Knoedler gallery exhibition.
