Architectural Description: Currently "Crowne Point"; 82 Bradford Street is a 1 1/2-story, 3-bay motel. A side ell wing (right) was added to accommodate a hotel. Wood steps lead to a veranda, which extends the length of the building. All 1st and 2nd-story porches have spindle work balustrades and trim at the eaves. A turret located at the junction of the sidehall cottage and the motel wing has a conical-shaped roof. Windows are replacement 1/1 DHS, and doors are replacement multi-pane and panel. Shaped wood shingles are present in the cottage gable end. Windows have wood trim and dentils. The left side facade contains 2/2 wood DHS and 1/1 wood DHS with storms. A shed roof wall dormer is located here and on side ell. A secondary entry has a wood storm door and deck. Side ell (left) facade contains 2/2 DHS windows and storms. The rear facade contains a 1-story partially enclosed porch with flat roof, brick stoop and wood balustrade and spindlework. |
