Architectural Description: 198 Commercial St. is a 2-1/2-story, 4-bay, vernacular Italianate-style dwelling; side-gable roof is sheathed in asphalt shingles, wood cornice with partial returns, full-width shed dormer; exterior is clad in wood shingles with clapboard siding on the upper stories of the gable end, wood corner boards and trim; building sits on a brick foundation; fenestration includes 1/1 vinyl DHS; inoperable shutters, 2-story canted bay with overhanging eaves on side (Commercial St.) facade, flat window hood with pendants; primary entrance faces Carver Street, door is sheltered by flat hood with pendants; secondary entrance on rear addition facing Commercial St.
