Architectural Description: 312 Commercial St. is a 2-1/2-story, astylistic mixed-use commercial/residential building; gable-front roof is sheathed in asphalt shingles, wood cornice with partial returns; exterior is clad in wood shingles with wood corner boards and trim; building sits on a brick foundation; fenestration includes paired and single windows, 1/1 replacement DHS and 2/1 wood DHS with storms and wood trim, 1st-story bay with wood fixed pane windows; primary entrance is a cutout corner entry with sidelights and supported by a replacement metal post; pent eave over storefront and wide frieze below eave; west facade contains commercial vents and other equipment on 2nd story; porch across 2nd story accesses multiple units; 2nd-story side balcony; 1-story section in rear is historic; enclosed basement entry with porthole windows; arched opening with paired doors connects this building to 314 Commercial Street.
