Joyce Johnson WOMR "Sands of Time" interview with Jerome Cohen on August 23, 2002. Started studying Chinese in 1960 as a foundation to a career in International Law and Politics. Dean Rusk, before becoming U.S. Sec. of State, encouraged Cohen to study China and its legal system. By 1969 he was a lawyer and teaching at UC Berkeley. He ultimately retired to Truro with his wife, Joan, and is there when not in China.
