Overview
Thelma Given (1896–1977) was an internationally acclaimed violin virtuoso who spent much of her later life in Provincetown. She was born in Columbus, Ohio and spent her early years in Illinois. Her father was a wealthy real estate baron of the mid-west and Canada and, in the 1920's, the Givens purchased property at 555 Commercial Street in Provincetown where they spent summers for many years, later making that address their permanent home.
