Jan Kelly writes a weekly column for Provincetown Magazine. “The Irish have finally learned to cook. I used to think they lived on the Eucharist alone and I learned to cook by the age of eight, in self-defense. It was that or starve to death. My Aunt Mary Kate used to cook cabbage and rasher, everyday. I lived on it but I don't think most tourists would.”
