Kelly’s Corner 094 - Rebel Pen – Mary Heaton Vorse
Jan Kelly writes a weekly column for Provincetown Magazine. Mary Heaton Vorse for more than forty years was America's foremost labor journalist. In the 1930’s she wrote warnings of Hitler and Stalin. Her factual accurate reports attracted all political hues. So difficult a life would have defeated most of us long before, but Mary Heaton Vorse led the force fighting nuclear waste dumping on the Cape in the 5O's and in 1965 was spearheading the anti-Vietnam movement: She died at 92. | |
