This article celebrates the100th anniversary of the building of Town Hall in its Commercial Street location after an 1877 fire destroyed the old Town Hall atop High Pole Hill. Construction of the Commercial Street building was begun on September 10, 1885 and the building was dedicated on August 25, 1886. | |
