Jim Rann: Safe Harbor Documentary Transcript
A transcript of an interview with Jim Rann, conducted for the for the 2009 Safe Harbor/Provincetown's Response to AIDS documentary sponsored by the Provincetown Public Library and AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod. Jim is a long term survivor who tested positive for HIV in 1989. Jim was in first volunteer training class at the Provincetown AIDS Support Group in 1987, and was a member of the original Provincetown Positive/PWA Coalition, eventually serving on on the Board of Directors as President. After testing positive Jim lead a peer support group for years,and became a board member of the Provincetown AIDS Support Group for 12 years including a 2 year stint as Board President. Jimmy continues as Co-chair of the Consumer Advisor Board for AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod, Outer Cape Health Services,and Infectious Disease Services for Cape Cod Hospital. | |
