I am Joan Rosen, granddaughter of Will Sklaroff, one of the original owners of the wharf that was for so many years known as Sklaroff's Wharf. I have been looking at the photos you have online as part of the preservation project. I want to say that the man identified as Will Sklaroff in one of the photos is not he. Evidently Althea Boxell honestly thought it was he, but not so. On the other hand, although I never met Esrael (he died young) that photo does look like it could be he. And I imagine that woman must have been his wife, Rose, although I cannot tell. I may try to send that photo to one of their granddaughters to see if they will comment on it. The woman is certainly not Bertha Sklaroff, my step-grandmother.
