Historic District Survey information for 12 Franklin St
Architectural Description: This is a 1 1/2-story building on a raised brick foundation, such that a full basement level is provided. The main block appears to have been the largest central block, which has a side gable roof with central brick chimney at the ridge. Additions to the north (with current main entry), south and west have greatly expanded this building. A concrete chimney is located on the western addition, and a brick chimney on the southern section. The main entry door on the 1st story is currently located at the north end of the east facade. Wood stairs lead to this pane and panel door. Basement level entries are currently located on the southern facade of the main, south, and western blocks. Windows are generally 6/6 DHS wood, in varying proportions. 6-light windows are located in the basement of the main and northern building blocks. A deck is located at the 1st story of the western facade.
