Architectural Description: 6 Gosnald Street is a 2-story, 3-bay sidehall entry building with a rear ell. The front-gable roof has a fully pedimented gable end and shed dormers on roof slopes. Brick chimney at roof ridge. Corner pilasters frame the facades. The main entry contains a recessed panel door with sidelights and pedimented crown with dentiled entablature. Wood stoop. Basement level entry is located at the south facade. Fenestration includes 6/6 wood DHS with operable louver shutters; 6/1 DHS on the rear ell; multi-light window in square bay on rear ell. The rear ell contains exterior steps and decks at each story on rear; deck and entry at south slope shed dormer. Square bay on north side of rear ell. |

Historical Narrative: A plaque on the building gives the year of construction as 1840, and names the building the "Capt. Russell Knox Elliot House." |
