Architectural Description: 473 Commercial St. is a 2-story, 3-bay, Greek Revival-style dwelling; side-gable roof is sheathed in asphalt shingles, partial cornice returns, skylight, interior brick chimney at roof ridge; exterior is clad in wood shingles with wood corner boards and trim; building sits on a brick foundation; fenestration includes 2/2, 2/1, 6/6 wood DHS and 6-pane wood casements, Chicago-style window on front facade with single-pane fixed window flanked by 4/4 wood DHS; centered front entrance contains wood panel door with fanlight above, 6-pane sidelights, Greek Revival surround and bay above; 2nd-story canted bay on side facade above secondary entry with wood panel door; wood trim remains intact, including window and door surrounds, corner boards and simple entablature cornice.
