Architectural Description: 153 Commercial St. is a 2-story, 2-bay, vernacular Greek Revival-style commercial building that has been converted to residential use; gable-front roof is sheathed in asphalt shingles, partial cornice returns; exterior clad in wood shingles with wood corner boards, and clapboard on enclosed front porch; building sits on a parged brick foundation; fenestration includes 1/1 vinyl DHS replacement windows, with paired single-pane vinyl casement windows in shed dormer; primary entrance is accessed by a pane-and-panel door with an aluminum storm door; enclosed 1-story hipped-roof front porch; exterior wood staircases provide access to 2nd- and 3rd-story entrances; shed dormer has two gable wall dormers. |
