Architectural Description: 612 Commercial St. is a 1-1/2 story, 4-bay dwelling; gable-front roof is sheathed in wood shingles; partial cornice returns; interior parged brick central ridge chimney; exterior is clad in clapboard siding with wood corner boards and trim; fenestration includes 6/6 wood DHS with wood trim; primary entrance is accessed by a panel door with simple door surround; wood deck extends across front facade with pergola above; a 1-story, 1-bay, flat-roof side ell extends from the left side facade; rear ell has 6/6 DHS and skylight; exterior shower stall with plank door.
Historical Narrative: As per Tom Boland (1994): "Shown on the 1858 map but not identified, #612 Commercial Street was owned by E. Atkins in 1880. It was run as a summer boarding house in 1901 by Ellen Atkins."
