Architectural Description: 180 Bradford Street is a 1 1/2-story, 3-bay Gothic Revival-style dwelling; the front-gable roof is steeply pitched, clad in wood shingles, has exposed rafter ends, has an interior brick chimney, rear of building has higher roofline on one side; the exterior is clad in wood shingle with wood trim, the foundation is brick; fenestration includes narrow pointed arch 1/1 DHS with square storms and operable shutters, paired 6-pane wood fixed windows with inoperable board and batten shutters, 2/2 wood DHS with 4-pane wood storm window in gable end on north side; the central primary entrance has a replacement slab wood door with aluminum storm, a secondary entrance on Miller Hill Road has a wood slab door; the property is surrounded by hedges

Historical Narrative: v206? As per Tom Boland (1994): The house at 180 Bradford Street was constructed under the ownership of Caleb Cook, a whaling captain around 1860. The small "studio" building is where the Captain produced watch lubrication oils made from whale oil. The house remained in his ownership until the turn of the century when it was purchased by E. Ambrose Webster as a summer residence. Later, Mr. Webster, a modernist painter, used the small ancillary building as his studio. Mr. Webster founded a painting school in Provincetown in the early part of this century. After Mr. Webster's residence, William Boogar, a sculptor, took residence. Mr. Boogar's studio was located in the area of the existing structures at 463-465 Commercial Street.
