Architectural Description: This is a 2-story, 9-bay building. The side gable roof has partial returns and frieze below the eaves. There are 2 entries on the primary facade, each with 4-pane and panel doors; small flat hood and wood stoop. Secondary entrances on south facade at 1st (concrete stoop) and 2nd (exterior wood stairs) stories. Fenestration includes 6/6 replacement vinyl DHS windows; inoperable louver shutters. 2-story addition at northwest corner of building contains additional entrance and single and grouped 6/6 DHS windows. 2-story rear ell with single and grouped 6/6 DHS.

Historical Narrative: Formerly the Town Farm/Almshouse. Currently known as the "Grace Gouveia Building" (2004). Grace Gouveia [Collinson] (1909-1998) was a Portuguese immigrant who settled in Provincetown with her family in 1915. After teaching elementary school for nearly thirty years, Ms. Gouveia became an advocate for seniors, and founded Provincetown's Center on Aging. This building serves as Provincetown's senior center, while also providing meeting space for community meetings and activities. Additions to the building were designed by Brown, Lindquist, Fenuccio & Richmond Architects, Inc.
