Architectural Description: 484 Commercial St. is a 2-story, 3-bay Greek Revival-style multi-unit dwelling with 2-bay ell; gable-front roof is sheathed in asphalt shingles; exterior is clad in wood shingles with wood trim; building sits on a brick foundation; fenestration pattern is irregular and includes 2/1 wood DHS windows, 2nd-story square bay window on primary facade with modillion cornice, right side facade has 6/6 wood DHS, left side facade has 2/1 wood DHS, windows have storms, wood trim and inoperable shutters; Greek Revival details include partial cornice returns and corner pilasters and simple door surround with cornice; brick steps; side ell has shed wall dormer; secondary entry has gable hood supported by end brackets, storm door, partial cornice returns, exposed rafter ends and scalloped trim; 1st-story porch on rear facade; 2nd-story deck near rear wraps around rear of building; shed roof wall dormer with panels above 2/1 DHS.
