Architectural Description: 17 Central Street is a 1 1/2-story, 3-bay sidehall cottage with rear additions. The front gable roof is clad in asphalt shingles; shed dormers on each roof slope; interior brick chimney. The main entrance consists of a pane and panel wood door on front (west) facade with modern storm door, flat hood with decorative brackets; accessed by concrete steps and metal handrail. A secondary entry on the south facade has the same hood over a jalousie door. Fenestration includes 2/1 wood DHS with inoperable shutters; 2/2 wood DHS in shed dormers. A rear 1-story gable roof structure contains an interior brick chimney. Two smaller additions are located on the rear, one clad with clapboards and the other with shingles. |
