Architectural Description: 284A Commercial St. is also known as 117 Bradford Street; 284A Commercial St. is a 2-1/2-story, 3-bay, Greek Revival-style dwelling with multiple additions; gable-front complex roof is sheathed in asphalt shingles, partial cornice returns, interior brick chimney at roof ridge, skylights; exterior is clad in wood shingles with wood corner pilasters and trim; building sits on a brick foundation; fenestration is varied, including 2/2, 4/4 and 6/6 DHS with simple wood trim; the window types and porches reflect late 19th- and early 20th-century traits; the facade facing Ryder Street consists of an entrance with a Greek Revival surround containing pilasters, heavy entablature, sidelights; Commercial Street facade contains exterior steps to porches and entries on each story.
