Architectural Description: 8 Mechanic Street is a 1 12/-story, 5-bay center entry cottage. The side gable roof has a brick chimney centered at ridge, and a concrete block chimney at north gable end. The main entrance consists of a brick and concrete block stoop leading to a 2 arched pane over panel door with storm. A flat roofed hood is supported by end brackets. A secondary entrance is located on the rear with pane and panel door and storm. Windows are 2/1 wood DHS with storms.
