Architectural Description: 116-118 Commercial St. is a 2-1/2 story, 5-bay Italianate-style dwelling; gable-front roof is sheathed in asphalt shingles, wood cornice with full return; exterior is clad in wood shingles with wood pilaster corner boards, building sits on a brick foundation; fenestration includes 1/1 vinyl DHS, 2/2 DHS in gable end; primary entrance is accessed by a double wood pane-and-panel door with an aluminum storm door, flat door hood with scroll-sawn brackets, pendants and wood surround, entrance reached by a brick stoop; center 2-story bay with Chicago-style windows with 1/1 DHS on side facade; rear entry sheltered by shed roof supported by knee braces; concrete stoops at secondary entries.
