Architectural Description: This building is connected to 621 Commercial Street; 623 Commercial St. is a 2-story former cottage; this 2-story addition was completed in the late-20th century; side-gable roof is sheathed in asphalt shingles; shed wall dormers; exterior is clad in wood shingles and board-and-batten siding; hipped-roof section has 6/1 wood DHS, wood pane-and-panel door with Greek Revival surround, 2nd-story deck on south side with 1-story enclosed porch; Queen Anne section to the east has decorative bargeboard with slight cornice returns and other decorative elements; windows are 2/1 wood DHS and 2/1 vinyl DHS in dormer; 2nd-story exterior entrance contains a modern aluminum pane-and-panel door. Between 621 and 623 is a modern 1-story section with gable roof, exposed rafter ends, shed dormer with a cupola on top, 4-pane vinyl casement windows, and entrance with modern panel door flanked by 4-pane vinyl casement windows.
