Historic District Survey information for 12 Center St
Architectural Description: This is a 2-story, 3-bay center entry building with a rear ell. The mansard roof accommodates the second story; pedimented gable dormers; dentiled cornice with paired pendanted brackets; brick chimney. The central entry contains double pane and panel historic doors with storms; wood stoop; flat hood with dentils below; pendanted end brackets. Fenestration is generally wood 2/2 DHS, and includes canted bays on each side of door, with 2/2 and 1/1 DHS wood; 1/1 DHS in mansard roof. Bays have dentiled cornice with pendanted end brackets. Louvered shutters. A similar bay is located on the south facade. The same trim is duplicated above non-bay windows. A shorter 2-story mansard roof bay is located at the rear with a single-leaf entry door and trim similar to the main entry. A 1-story addition is located to the rear of this section.
