Architectural Description: 5 Webster Place, or the Pauline Palmer House, is a 2-story, 5-bay dwelling; partial cornice returns; exterior brick chimney on north side; fenestration includes 6/6 DHS wood with inoperable shutters on west side; entrance faces south and contains panel wood door with modern storm and entablature surround; 2nd-story square bay on north side that extends over 1st floor and is supported by large knee braces; secondary entrance on west facade of side-gable portion has paired French wood doors with aluminum storms.

Historical Narrative: As per Josephine Del Deo (1977): The studio occupied by Pauline Palmer from about 1910 through the '20s and '30s was a typical artist's studio of that period. It was occupied subsequently by other artist who valued its excellent north light, and it is one of those charming Provincetown studios for which the town is famous. NEED HISTORY OF PAULINE
