Architectural Description: 101 Bradford Street is a 1 1/2-story, 3-bay, Greek Revival-style sidehall cottage with a setback side ell; the front-gable roof is clad in asphalt shingles, a shed dormer was added to the east and west roof slopes, shed and gable dormers exist on the ell and skylights; the exterior is clad in clapboard siding and the foundation is brick, includes corner pilasters, frieze and a full cornice return; the fenestration includes 6/6 wood DHS with storm windows, the shed dormer on the east facade has 2 Chicago-style windows and a 1/1 DHS window on its front (side facing) facade, and a multi-light octagonal window in its side wall, a shed dormer on the ell contains a 12-pane wood picture window flanked by 4/4 wood DHS and a 32-pane wood picture window flanked by 4/4 wood DHS, the gable dormer on the ell contains 6/6 wood DHS windows; the primary entrance contains a historic wood panel door with 5-pane sidelights, and door surround with pilasters and a full entablature; the set-back ell is 4-bays deep, and has a has an partial facade, incised porch with 2 wood pane and panel doors; There are gable and shed dormers on the ell; a concrete block exterior end chimney. |
