Architectural Description: 4 Nickerson Street is a 2-story, 3-bay sidehall cottage. The front gable roof has partial returns; brick chimney; 2 gable dormers on south slope and 1 on north slope. Shed roof dormer on north roof slope, rear section. Paired brackets line the eaves. A brick stoop leads to the main entry door, which consists of 2 arched panes and shaped panels; flat hood with paired brackets and pendanted end brackets. A secondary entry is located on the south facade with a small hood and paired brackets; wood steps to door. Windows are 2/2 DHS with storms, except 1/1 DHS in gable end; paired 4-light casements in dormers; single-light awning basement windows. Paired brackets present at all window lintels. 1-story entry addition at the rear. |
