Architectural Description: 135 Commercial St. is a 2-story, 4-bay Italianate-style sidehall cottage with side ell; cross-gable roof is sheathed in asphalt shingles, wood cornice with scroll-sawn brackets and partial returns; exterior is clad in wood shingles with wood trim, building sits on a brick foundation; fenestration includes 2/2 DHS vinyl windows; shed dormers on side ell; primary entrance is accessed by original paired wood pane-and-panel doors each having a single round-arch pane, door is sheltered by a flat hood supported by embellished scroll-sawn brackets; square bay windows on 1st story have scroll-sawn cornice brackets; Italianate-style ornamentation includes scroll-sawn brackets, dentils and bull's eye motif.
