Architectural Description: 182 Commercial St. is a 1-story, 3-bay astylistic former cottage that has been converted to commercial use; side-gable roof is sheathed in asphalt shingles with modern skylights; exterior is clad in wood shingles with wood corner boards and trim; building sits on a brick foundation; fenestration includes 6/6 wood DHS with storms on east facade, 6/6 wood DHS on west facade, 2/2 wood DHS in the gable end, and 1/1 DHS replacement in the first floor; flanking bay windows with hipped roof; primary entrance is accessed by paired panel doors with a stained glass transom in the center bay; brick steps and patio; rear addition extends from main building; ornamental iron fence along front edge of property.
Historical Narrative: Shown on the 1836 map, 182 Commercial Street is listed as being owned by Mrs. Sparks in 1858. By 1880, it had changed ownership to J.W. Atwood. In 1907, the owner is named as S. Hatch. Currently "P-Town Massage" and "Cape Hare" (2003).
