Architectural Description: The Watership Inn at 7 Winthrop Street is a 2-story, 5-bay (faces south) building; fenestration includes 6/6 wood DHS replacement on west and south facades, east side has 2/2 wood DHS, wood surrounds; all operable shutters; corner boards; hipped dormer on south roof slope; primary entrance is accessed by a pane-and-panel wood door; door surround with pilasters and heavy entablature; hipped wall dormer on east facade with balcony and exterior steps; northeast rear has 2-story section with flat roof and 6/6 wood DHS; east rear has 1-story section with flat roof, 6/6 wood DHS and roof-top deck; cross-gable section extends to north with partial cornice returns, 2/2 wood DHS, shed dormer, and 1st- and 2nd-story porch. |
