Architectural Description: 443-445 Commercial St. is a 2-story, 3-bay, Italianate-style commercial building; gable-front roof has asphalt shingles, box cornice with partial returns, shed dormer, two interior brick ridge chimneys, skylights; exterior is clad in clapboard siding with wood corner boards and trim: building sits on a brick foundation; fenestration includes 1/1 wood DHS, 6/6 wood DHS, 6/6 vinyl DHS, storefront has a modern canted bay display window with wood roof shingles and a modern single-pane fixed window flanked by 5-pane sidelights, 2-story canted bay window has 1/1 DHS with wood paneling below; 1st-story cornice with brackets; wood door flanked by 4-pane sidelights and surrounded by vertical plank cladding and bull's eye molding; enclosed side entrance contains similar roof detailing as 1st-floor pent roof and is accessed by a wood pane-and-panel door; open 1st- and 2nd-story decks on rear facade; 2-story addition extends from rear facade.
