Architectural Description: 222 Bradford Street is a 2-story, 3-bay, Vernacular Greek Revival-style sidehall dwelling; the front-gable roof is clad in wood shingles, has partial cornice return and the stuccoed chimney is located at the roof ridge; the exterior is clad in wood shingles, the building has corner boards and the foundation is covered in stucco; the fenestration includes 2/2 DHS with wood storm windows, 2nd-story windows on secondary facades are directly below the eaves; The primary entrance contains a pane and panel door with a wood surround including pilasters and a simple entablature; a 1-story, 3-bay addition extends from the east facade and has a side-gable roof, clapboard siding on the front and wood shingles on the secondary facades, 2/2 DHS and 6/2 DHS wood windows; A shallow gable roofed 1-story ell with stuccoed brick chimney is located to the rear of this addition. |
