Architectural Description: 248 Commercial St. is a 2-1/2-story, 5-bay Greek Revival-style dwelling with a commercial addition; side-gable roof is sheathed in asphalt shingles, exterior brick end chimney, shed dormers, full cornice return with pilasters; exterior is clad in aluminum siding with aluminum trim; building sits on a brick foundation; fenestration includes multi-light display windows in storefront addition, paired and single 6/6, 6/1 and 1/1 DHS, 1/1 DSH in shed dormers, inoperable shutters; primary entrance on addition is accessed by canted pane-and-panel door, wood surround with entablature and pilasters, enclosed vestibule with overhanging porch roof supported by Ionic columns and fluted pilasters.
