Architectural Description: 11 Alden Street is a 1-story, 5-bay dwelling, oriented to the north. The side gable roof is clad in asphalt shingles, and the building is clad in wood shingles. Partial cornice returns; interior brick chimney. The former primary entrance, located in a 1-story gable roofed enclosed vestibule adjacent to the street, is no longer used; a storm door is suspended with no stair access. The primary entrance is now located on the north facade. Fenestration includes single-pane wood awning windows, and Chicago-style windows with fixed center window and flanking 4-pane casements are located on the west side. Retractable awnings shade windows adjacent to the street. |
