Architectural Description: 3 Baker Avenue is a 1 1/2-story, 3-bay cottage, facing west. The side gable roof has partial cornice returns; concrete exterior chimney at south gable end. Corner boards are present. The primary entry is via an enclosed porch across a portion of the primary facade. The porch, accessed on the west by concrete block and brick steps, has a shed roof with exposed rafter ends and a concrete block foundation. A partially enclosed rear (northeast) entry has a shed roof and is accessed from the south. Fenestration includes short 2/1 wood DHS, 1/1 wood awning windows, and 6/1 wood DHS; 1/1 aluminum DHS are located at the enclosed porch. A square bay is located on the side, near the front, with a flat roof and dentils around eaves. A line of hooks are located across the gable end of the building. |
