Architectural Description: 398 Commercial St. is a 2-story, 5-bay astylistic dwelling converted to commercial use; hipped roof is sheathed in asphalt shingles; exterior is clad in clapboard siding on the front facade and asbestos shingles on the side facades; building sits on a brick foundation; fenestration includes 6/6 DHS wood windows, inoperable shutters on front facade, 6/6 replacement DHS and 2/2 DHS with storms on side and rear facades; primary entrance is accessed by double paired replacement doors on the 1st story; pent roof over most of the 1st story; modern wood deck with hipped roof on front facade; globe lights between windows on 2nd story; rear facade has 2nd story entry, exterior staircase, and 1-story shed roof addition; rear ell has a 1-story entry and 1/1 DHS on left side, 8/8 DHS on rear, and recent addition on concrete blocks piers.
