6 Cook St

6 Cook St
Historic District Survey information for 6 Cook St
Historical Narrative: As per Tom Boland (1994): The house at 6 Cook Street is likely to be the first house on the street. Stylistic detailing, such as the entranceway, indicate that it was early in the Federal period. Shown on the 1836 directory, a Bessie Lyford, teacher and B. Lyford, carpenter, resided there. The house remained in the Young family throughout the end of the 19th century and is listed as owned by Mrs. Alice H. Young in 1907.
