Architectural Description: 7 Atlantic Avenue is a 2-story, 4-bay cottage, oriented to the south, with a setback side ell. The building has clapboard on the street (southwest) facade, and wood shingles on other facades. The side gable roof is clad in asphalt shingles; partial returns; shed wall dormers on south side and north side; exterior brick chimney on south side. Corner pilasters and frieze below eaves are present. Entrance at southeast side contains a pane and panel wood door accessed by brick steps; shallow flat hood lintel. Fenestration includes 4/1 wood DHS Arts and Craft windows; Chicago window at the 1st story on the southwest facade with single-pane wood picture window flanked by 4/1 DHS; inoperable vinyl shutters; windows have wood surrounds with flat shallow hoods. A modern open deck is located on the east side. A 1-story setback side ell is located at the north gable end.

Historical Narrative: The building was likely oriented toward Atlantic Avenue historically, and the fenestration has been changed and the door subsequently moved to the south facade. What is now a "side" ell, was likely a "rear" ell originally.
