Architectural Description: The second outbuilding at 594 Commercial St. is a 1-1/2 story, 2-bay former workshop converted to residential use; gable-front roof is sheathed in asphalt shingles; exterior is clad in clapboard siding with vertical board siding on the side facade; wood corner boards; fenestration includes paired windows, 6-light awning windows, 8/8 DHS in gable end; primary entrance is accessed by a plank door with wood storm door.
Historical Narrative: As per Tom Boland (1994): "Constructed between 1836 and 1858, 594 Commercial Street is shown on the 1858 map of Provincetown, but it is now until 1880, that the name L.B. Lewis is ascribed to it. By 1901-1907, the property was owned by Herbert S. Cook."
