Architectural Description: 6 Nickerson Street is a 1 1/2-story, 3-bay dwelling with 1-bay side ell that extends to the rear. A gable dormer is present on the front roof slope of the side ell, and a shed dormer is located on the rear roof slope. The main entry consists of a pane and panel door and multi-light storm. Door surround comprised of sidelights and entablature. Fenestration includes wood 6/6 DHS windows with operable shutters; side ell has multi-light semi-circular bay; 10-light awning in gable dormer. A 1-story gable roofed ell with separate entry extends from south side, westward. It has a brick chimney at the western gable end; slate roof on the north slope. A multi-light bow window and entry door are located on the north facade of this ell. Wood shingles on side facade. Exterior steps lead to a 2nd-floor rear entry. |
