Architectural Description: 462 Commercial St. is a 2-story, 3-bay dwelling converted to commercial use; gable-front roof is sheathed in asphalt shingles, exterior chimney; exterior is clad in wood shingles with asphalt shingles on the side facades, wood corner pilasters and trim; building sits on a brick foundation; fenestration includes a multi-light picture window on 1st story of front facade, 6/6 DHS vinyl snap-in muntins, modified Palladian window with casements in front gable end, operable shutters; sidehall entry is accessed by a pane-and-panel replacement door with sidelights and broken pediment roof; Greek Revival details include partial cornice returns and corner pilasters; the modified Palladian window and broken pediment over the front door denote Colonial Revival influences; wood shingles cover an exterior chimney; 1-story addition located on rear; ell with irregular roofline located at rear facade; exterior wood steps to decks on 2nd and 3rd stories; yard is partially enclosed by a wood picket fence.
