Architectural Description: 8 Johnson Street is a 2-story, 3-bay sidehall entry building with a rear ell. The front-gable roof has partial returns; large shed dormer on south slope creates 3rd story space. The main entry consists of double arched pane and panel doors shaded by a flat roof entry porch with paired turned balustrades, square posts, and pilasters; pendanted bracket at eaves. Similar brackets in canted bays on front and south facades. Fenestration includes 2/2 wood DHS with wood trim and entablature. Operable louver shutters. Shed dormer has 1/1 DHS windows. The rear ell has an exterior stair leading to a 2nd story entry at the rear. |
