Architectural Description: This is a 1-1/2-story, 3-bay dwelling with an attached workshop/cottage at the rear along West Vine Street. The front-gable roof is clad in asphalt shingles and has partial cornice returns; entablature cornice. Two gable dormers are located on the west roof slope, and a brick exterior chimney is located at the rear (north) gable; corner pilasters. Side and front entrances have replacement wood panel doors with same surround; door surround includes heavy entablature and pilasters and sidelights. Front steps are wood with steps at each side. Fenestration includes 6/6 DHS replacement wood windows with simple wood trim.
Attached 1-story cottage on Vine Street. Multi-pane central replacement door; Vine St. entrance with plank door with diamond windows; 6/6 DHS wood replacement windows; 3-pane awning window at gable end; Corner pilasters with recessed panel. |

Historical Narrative: Alternate address is 5 West Vine Street.
As per Tom Boland (1994): This high-style Greek Revival house was owned by T. S. Small in 1958. It remained it the Small family though 1880 when it was owned by A.B. Small. In 1907, C. A. Foster is noted as the owner. |
