Architectural Description: 8 Cottage Street is a 2-story, 5-bay former cottage with rear ell. The primary facade faces Nickerson Street (west). Gabled dormer in east, west and south roof slopes; brick chimney at ridge; frieze below all eaves. The primary entry is offset to the right with gabled hood. There are 2 secondary entries on the rear of the building - 1 on the ell and 1 on the side addition. Windows are 6/6 wood DHS with bracketed crowns and operable louvered shutters. Decks across east and west facades. 1-story addition on south end with bracketed eaves. |
