Architectural Description: 8 Soper Street is a 1-1/2-story, 5-bay cottage with offset entry, building faces south. Brick chimney at roof ridge gable dormer with 6/6 DHS. Windows are 6/6 and 8/8 replacement vinyl DHS. Frieze below eaves. Entry door is paneled with a fanlight, has pilasters and dentiled entablature for surround. Brick stoop and iron rails. North facade has central shed dormer with two 6/6 DHS, and two skylights in roof slope. A 1-story hyphen connects to a 2-story addition on the west gable end. The roof is irregular and has a brick chimney. Windows are 6/6 wood DHS, 4-light awning and single-light awnings. Decks are present at 1st and 2nd stories on south facade. There are skylights in the roof, and paired multi-light entry doors on east facade of rear portion.
