Architectural Description: 415-417 Commercial St. is a 2-1/2-story, 3-bay, Greek Revival-style commercial building converted to residential use; gable-front roof is sheathed in asphalt shingles, partial cornice returns, two interior brick chimneys; exterior is clad in clapboard siding with wood shingles on secondary facades, wood corner pilasters and trim; building sits on a brick foundation; fenestration includes single-pane modern storefront windows, 2/1 wood DHS, 6/6 wood DHS; centered primary entrance has wood storm door with wood surround. |

The grey shingled dwelling left of 415-417 is of personal historic significance to my Capt Joseph A. Silva & wife Rosa Bernardo Rodrigues immigrated from Azores & settled in Provincetown @1865. Of their American born generation, son Francis "Frank" Fish Silva owned and operated #419 Commercial Street's Silva Fish Market on first floor, with remainder of dwelling as his home.(per 1920 U.S. Census)
