Architectural Description: 6 Pleasant Street is a 2-story, 3-bay dwelling. The hipped roof is sheathed in asphalt shingles, and has a gabled dormer on the south slope. The building faces south toward Commercial Street. A stuccoed chimney is located on the east roof slope. A wood deck accesses the sidehall entry door, which is a replacement door with storm. The door and window surrounds are simple wood, and a wide frieze is present below that eaves. Windows are 6/1 DHS wood with storms. A 1-story hipped roof addition is located on the north facade. |

Historical Narrative: As per Tom Boland (1994): Federal in form and Greek Revival in detailing. Situated on a hill slop, and probably once commanding a harbor view, this house is located on all of the early maps and atlases. In 1880, the site was owned by Mrs. A. Knowles. |
