David Mayo writes: I remember having band practice for the Provincetown Band at the Conant Street School when it was the "VETS". Most of the musicians were town men (and some women) - all extremely talented and mostly self taught. An amazing experience from a musical/east ender's point of view but I hated the bright blue uniforms and I always seemed to be directly behind the horses. We played at ALL important events in Town.
