Historic District Survey information for 9 Arch St
Architectural Description: This is a 2-story, 4-bay 3/4 cottage with a full 2nd story added in front portion. The side gable roof has a brick chimney at the roof ridge. A pent roof is located across the front facade b/w 1st and 2nd stories. The main entry includes a panel door with storm and brick stoop. Secondary entrances are located on the north gable end, including entries at the 1st and 2nd stories. Fenestration includes 2/2 and 6/6 wood DHS with storms; applied louver shutters. A wood deck spans across the 2nd story at the north gable end.
Historical Narrative: A sign on the building says that the building was constructed circa 1812. The tax assessor also has this date as the year built.
